2Baucau is a great overnight stop between Dili and the far east (Com/Jaco).
3The Piscina is a highlight: just avoid Monday and Thursday when it drains for cleaning.
4The Old Market cultural center is best visited early morning when vendors are active nearby.
5Ask permission before photographing people at the market: most will happily agree.
6The road from Dili to Baucau is one of the best in the country, fine for 2WD. East of Baucau toward Lautem it gets rougher: a 4WD is recommended.
