This is for those that need a little effort and adventure with their tour. You're going to climb Timor-Leste's highest peak. Whilst it's a walk up a reasonably well-formed path with some washouts to navigate you won't need a map, but you will need a decent level of fitness, and you will need to come prepared with torch and wind-proof, weather-proof clothing and drinking water. It can even freeze occasionally at the summit. You could get wind, fog or rain. Or all three. Or you more likely will be rewarded with a stunning sunrise and views over the many ridges and ranges and on down to the ocean on both sides of Timor.

Suitable for those with a good level of fitness. The climb (in the dark) is from Ramelau Sanctuary at ~2000m to the summit at 2900m. Most people reach the summit in 1.5-2.5 hours with a one hour return.
What's included in the Mount Ramelau trek? A 2-day guided trek from Dili, starting with a 9am hotel pickup, visiting Sarlala Waterfall and the Dili Vanilli co-operative, and staying overnight at Ovalido Guest House. Day two starts at 4am with a climb from the Ramelau Sanctuary for sunrise at 2,900m, breakfast, and descent via Fleixa Pass and Mt Rabilau.

I had a wonderful time in Timor Leste with this travel agency! My tour guide Roberto was 🔛🔝! He was very flexible, teached many things from his culture and country and was over all very professional and nice. He also managed to arrange me an extra tour to Balibo on a short notice 👍🏻.
