Projeito Montanha

Projeto Montanha ("Proyek Gunung") adalah penginapan, restoran, pusat kerajinan tangan, studio musik, bengkel kayu, dan klinik gigi yang dikelola LSM Timor di Aileu, kawasan kopi dataran tinggi sekitar satu jam di selatan Dili. Proyek ini melatih kaum muda Timor setempat di bidang perhotelan, seni, musik, pertukangan kayu, dan bahasa (Portugis dan Inggris), sehingga mereka memiliki keterampilan yang dapat dibawa ke Dili atau lebih jauh lagi.

Penginapan ini memiliki tiga kamar seharga USD 50 per kamar per malam, dengan air panas, genset cadangan, dan internet Starlink.

Restaurante da Montanha di lokasi menyajikan masakan buatan sendiri dengan bahan yang ditanam di kebun proyek sendiri atau dari sumber lokal: hidangan comfort food seperti lasagna, steak, dan ayam goreng, dengan jus perasan segar. Para tamu berulang kali menyebutnya salah satu tempat menginap paling menyenangkan di Timor-Leste, berkat suasananya yang terasa seperti di rumah, makanannya, dan pelayanannya yang hangat.

Kerajinan buatan para siswa dijual di toko suvenir di lokasi dan di bandara Dili, dan hasil penjualannya dikembalikan kepada kaum muda yang membuatnya. Menginap di sini secara langsung mendukung program pelatihan.

The feeling when sitting at the patio area while the rain is pouring down is a feeling l I’ll never forget. Very good food and even better coffee. The desserts are really nice, and it is a must visit place when in Aileu.

My tour guide took us here. It was an unexpected oasis. Presented with care, style, and heart. The art on display adds to the mood, though it is a little predictable. The staff helped us through the menu so we could pick some lovely and fresh options for lunch. The fresh iced juices were delicious, and the pizzas were light and very tasty. I also had dessert, which was a Brazilian style fudge - stunning, and the coffee complemented it very well. The staff need praise, as they were great. I bought some jam to take home, and have just opened it. It was superb - with deep and intense fruit flavours of strawberry. I ate most of the jar immediately, it was that good.

There's no sign on the main road. Maybe it used to be there, but now it's none. It's hard for those who go alone couldn't find it. The food service is tbh is slow, just a simple dish tool, almost 30 minutes to make. Overall experience regarding the customer service and the ambiance is great.
