Excellent place to stay in Pante Makassar. The room is big, the staff are friendly. We can dine in or lunch (if requested with additional fee). The place also close to the main road and walkable distance to the beach and there’s a cafe close by.

Hotel in a part of the world without many, and none that appear on any common booking platforms. Had no problem securing a room for the night as a walk-in around 4pm, after the flight from Dili. Room was $35/night and included breakfast which I wasn’t told/expecting, just found food waiting outside my room when I went to leave around 8am. Seems to cater more to longer stays, staff seemed surprised when I handed over cash for only one night. Receptionist was friendly, after wandering around to find a hotel I wasn’t in the mood to wander around and find a restaurant open so requested dinner, which the kitchen prepared for $5. A minute’s walk to the waterfront. Room itself is very basic and not particularly clean. For the location and price I wasn’t expecting much, and the room met that level of expectation. Shower had warm water, two bottles of water provided, bed comfortable enough. Found a large cockroach in the bathroom who was not at all phased by my presence.
Basic and simple you can get rooms from 20 to 45$. Be prepared that choosing a budget options means poor condition! You know what you take! Breakfast was big and diverse so that’s all right. And the location in the middle of the city was great.
When I saw this rating I HAD TO write a review, especially seeing the lack of detail in others. Stayed in hotel Inur Sakato for 9 days during the completion of a local project. The owner is friendly and helpful. I managed to get laundry done with a smile. The room is large, with its own fridge, old school CRT telly, huge double bed, and personal bathroom. The room is clean although the bathroom could use a bit of work which I happily did myself. Being a resourceful experienced traveler that realises that I’m in a still developing country, I could have easily given this review 5 stars. Speaking to the locals it is about the best that can be obtained. And it has everything you need. If you are precious then this place may not be for you, but in that case Oecusse is certainly not for you. Enjoy :D
Nice hotel in front of the beach, near to Cafe del Mare, the regional office of tourism (ZEEMS building) and Dominican cafe. We got a budget double room at 25 USD, located at the back of the main building, including breakfast, private bathroom and with brand new AC unit. The room is like a motel room with chairs and patio in front. The room is basic but is great: comfortable double bed, clean room, full set of amenities, towel, bathroom with western toilet with a bucket to scoop water, as usual in Timor Leste (no hot water, but weather is hot, so it was not a big deal at all). They also have 35-45 USD-rooms in the main building with better standard I believe. The ladies are very nice, they always try to help or answer your questions. We borrowed a clothes dryer for our laundry and could put something in their fridge.
